Ivy League to tour member’s garden
The Ivy League Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. May 15, in the home of Beth Matthews, 3423 FM 1078 in Orange. Meeting includes lunch and tour of Matthew’s garden.

Flashers gather at the Bread Box
The Red Hot Flashers of the Red Hat Society of Orange will hold their monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. May 15, at the Bread Box on 10th St. in Orange. The birthday lady is Lovely Lady: Ruth Fisher. Door prizes and visitors are welcome. For additional information, phone Queen Helene, 886-1609.

Audubon meeting at Tyrrell Park
The Golden Triangle Audubon will meet at 6 p.m. May 15, at the Tyrrell Park Garden Center in Beaumont. Dr. Jim Armacost, who is an assistant professor of Biology at Lamar University, will speak at 7 p.m. about "Life on the Amazon River: Ecology and Conservation of Amazonian River Island Birds."

Bengal Guards to gather at Tea Room
The Lutcher Stark Bengal Guards will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Southern Magnolia Tea Room. This will be the last meeting of the Spring. The next meeting will be in the Fall.

Starlight Youth selling turkey legs
The Starlight COGICS Youth Department will sell smoked turkey legs for $6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at 10th and Burton streets.

Magnolia Springs Cemetery business meeting
The Magnolia Springs Cemetery Association will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17. A covered dish lunch will follow.

Money due for Kinder trip
A bus trip to Kinder is planned for Saturday, May 31. The bus will depart the Market Basket parking lot on Northway at 8:30 a.m. for Kinder. The return bus will leave the casino at 4 p.m. to head back to Orange. Space is still available and the trip is $10. All money must be turned in by May 17. Church hosting family game night
West Orange Christian Church, 900 Lansing St., will host a family fun night at 6 p.m. Friday, May 16. Event includes chili dogs, chips and dessert, as well as numerous board games. For more information on this free event, call Nelda at 735-8710.

WO-S class of 78’ planning Nov. reunion
All 1978 West Orange-Stark High School graduates are invited to a reunion planning meeting at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 1409 N. 6th St. The reunion is planned for Nov. 21-23. Cajun Heritage Festival is May 17
Cajun crafters and artists are welcome to join in the Third Annual Texas Cajun Heritage Festival from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 17, at the City Boat Ramp Recreation Area, just off Simmons Drive in Orange. For more information, call 883-1010.

Class of 1973 to meet at Spanky’s
The 1973 classes of Lutcher Stark and West Orange High Schools will meet at 4 p.m. May 17, at Spanky’s Restaurant.

TAN ‘Treasures’ to have ‘Pizzazz’
Friends of the Triangle AIDS Network will sponsor “TAN Treasures: Pizzazz on the Parking Lot,” a bazaar, boutique and book sale to benefit TAN Saturday, May 17. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Triangle AIDS Network offices, 1495 N. Seventh St. at Interstate 10 in Jackson Square in Beaumont. The sale will feature clothing, accessories, jewelry, decorative objects, works of art, home furnishings, lamps, furniture, books and audio-visuals. Proceeds will help this non-profit agency better serve clients and educate the public about HIV/AIDS. For additional information, call (409) 832-8338, extension 223.
