HOUSTON — A Houston man and woman have been arrested and charged with capital murder after a weekend stabbing spree left one person dead and two others injured.
Police said Monday 44-year-old Neva Jane Gonzales and 31-year-old Samuel Alvarado are charged with the death of 46-year-old Jose Maes at his home.
Gonzales and Alvarado were taken into custody without incident at the scene when police responding to a 911 case arrived early Sunday. They say all three victims had multiple stab wounds. Maes was pronounced dead and the two others were taken to hospitals.
Homicide investigators say the stabbings involved a robbery attempt and were in response to a previous argument involving all five people.
