COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The last of four workers still hospitalized after the collapse of an under-construction Texas A&M University equestrian center has been upgraded to fair condition.
Gamma Construction Company on Monday identified the injured man as Jose Santos Argueta. A spokeswoman at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan says Argueta had been in critical condition but continues to improve.
Gamma Construction senior vice president Tom Hansen says the four injured workers are employees of a subcontractor, Ramco Erectors, Inc. of Houston. Ramco didn't immediately comment Monday.
Hansen says Gamma Construction officials are working with federal investigators to determine what caused Saturday's accident. He says for now all work has been suspended at the $80 million equestrian center.
The complex is about a mile from the main campus in College Station.
