ARLINGTON, Texas — Authorities say a North Texas woman and a young girl were found dead in separate apartment units after a fast-moving fire spread through their building.
Arlington Fire Department assistant chief Jim Self said the Saturday afternoon blaze destroyed most of the second level of the two-story apartment complex.
The Dallas Morning News reported that another resident of the Tanglewood Apartments in Arlington was injured and taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas in critical condition.
Fire officials did not identify any victims.
Assistant apartment manager Lisa Roberts said the building had smoke alarms.
The cause of the fire was being investigated.
