Unveiling a vision

ORANGE —

It started with a vision for a church.

Pastor Larry Anderson of Kingdom Fellowship Tabernacle located at 1612 Tenth Street in Orange had a vision for a church based on the fullest description of the Tabernacle describes an inner shrine (named Holy of Holies) housing the Ark of the Covenant.

The church held it’s first service on May 22, 2011 after almost a year of planning. This year a mural is being added behind the pulpit of the church.

Tom Windham, a local artist, has been working with Caroline Anderson, the pastor’s wife, in creating the design for the mural for the church. Windham has been working on the illustration for two weeks. He hopes to finish it on Monday or Tuesday.

The church will have an unveiling of the artwork on Sunday, September 30, 2012.

“The textured walls have been a challenge to work with,” Windham said. “But it was been real neat to watch it all come together.”

The way the mural is painted, one will be able to see different areas based on where one sits inside the church.

“I wanted to be sure people could see it from any angle,” Windham said.

Sunday morning services are at 11 am.
