St. Francis of Assisi Knights of Columbus Council 13825 is selling fish dinners in the San Damiano Center, behind the church, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., every Friday, during Lent through April 11 at 4300 Meeks Drive in Orange. Cost is $8 and includes two pieces of fish, French fries, hush puppies, cole slaw, drink and dessert. Available for dine in or carryout.

The Knights of Columbus will offer fish dinners from 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., every Friday during Lent through April 11 at the Bridge City KC Hall on West Roundbunch, adjacent to St. Henry Catholic Church. Cost is $8 and includes fried fish, French fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. Available for dine-in or take out. Delivery available for orders of 10 or more. Walk-A-Thon and Picnic
Salem United Methodist Church will hold its first ever Walk-A-Thon and Picnic on Saturday, March 8, at Claiborne West Park. The Walk-A-Thon is from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m., and picnic will follow immediately. Registration is $20 per person or $100 per team. Proceeds will help support Salem UMC Community Outreach program. Smoked links, chips and drink will be sold for $5. Plaques awarded to most enthusiastic walker, first to cross finish line and for most pledges collected.
