Starlight Church of God in Christ hosts Revival

ORANGE — The Starlight Church of God in Christ family at 2800 Bob Hall Rd. is hosting a Revival from June 9-11 at 7:30 p.m. The community is invited to join the revival. The Guest Speaker is Bishop Jermarius Williams.

Bishop Jermarion N. Williams has been called a “preacher par excellence” for his radical and relevant preaching to reach ranges from Baby Boomers to Generation X. He is a native of Houston, Texas and graduated from the Aldine Independent School District. He matriculated at Union Baptist Bible College and Seminary, Prairie View A&M University; and Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute. He holds a Bachelors, Masters, and a Doctorate in Theology with an emphasis in Religious Education as well as a Doctorate of Divinity degree.

Brother Williams accepted Christ at an early age and began working in various ministries within the local church. Minister Williams accepted the call to preach in 1991 at the age of sixteen and was licensed by Bethany Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel L. Smith and was ordained in 1994 by Dr. Samuel H. Smith Sr., Pastor of the Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church. He has served as an Assistant to the Pastor and Youth Minister for the Mount Calm Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr.Earnest Ransom, and Interim Pastor of House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church.

In the year 2000 Pastor Williams was led by the Holy Ghost to establish First Community Fellowship Church now known as “The Atmosphere of the Anointing” with twelve people and has blossomed into the host of people that call her home. In 2004, Pastor Williams was consecrated to the office of Bishop in the Lord’s Church by The Changing Lives Fellowship as 1st Administrative Assistant under Presiding Prelate Bishop Bobby E. Pierson, Sr., and he is the founder and Presiding Prelate of The International Fellowship of Kingdom Churches.

Bishop Williams is happily married to First Lady Tamara A. Williams and is the proud father of 7 children. He enjoys in his down time reading, singing, swimming, and spending time with his family. His earnest desire is to remain an humble servant of The Lord to be used in any capacity. He strives most to maximize “The Spirit of Excellence without Excuse” to bring all glory to God.
