New Anointing Garage Sale

The Women's Ministry at New Anointing Church will be having a Garage sale in the parking lot of the church from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 4 at the church, located at 10681 N. Hwy 87 (this is about 7 miles on the left N. of Northway Shopping Center). BBQ link sandwiches will also sell for $1.50 each. For more information call the church office at 409-746-9515.



Starlight COGIC to hold Family and Friends Day

The Starlight Church of God in Christ will have its Family and Friends Day Sunday, Aug. 5. The service begins at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend; lunch will be served immediately following the service. The church is located at 2600 Bob Hall Rd. in Orange. O’field Pentecostal BBQ

The Orangefield Pentecostal Church will be having a B-B-Q dinner at the church fellowship hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Aug. 11 at the church, located at FM 105 and Windy Lane in Orangefield.  B-B-Q brisket and links plates will be served.  Adult plates will be $6 each and combo plates are $7. Proceeds will go to the building fund.



Living Waters church anniversary

The pastor and congregation of the Living Waters Missionary Baptist Church cordinally invite the churches of Orange and surrounding area to join for the sixth year church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12 at the church located at 2515 3rd St. in the Brownwood addition of Orange. The Rev. Timothy Cesar and the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church family will be the special guests.



Starlight Church of God in Christ Men's Weekend

The Brotherhood of Starlight Church of God in Christ invites all men in the community to join them for Men's Weekend 2007. The weekend begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, for worship service. Workshops are on Saturday with registration from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Registration is $25 and includes lunch on Saturday, workshops, memento, and conference packet. The Men's Weekend concludes at 11a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker for the weekend is Dr. Charles Hawthorne. Registration deadline is Aug. 13. Fish Dinner sale;

Women’s Conference

The Mount Zion Women’s Ministry will sponsor a fish dinner sale for their “Women’s Conference Revival” at 11 a.m. August 17-25 at the church. Cost is $6 and drinks are 50 cents. The conference will begin with a musical on August 17 followed by a conference workshop on August 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Conference and revival speakers begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19 with Rev. Ceena Gans and nightly speakers Aug. 20-24 at 7 p.m. The conference will close out at 7 p.m. Aug. 25 with Minister Mildred Boldware of Houston.



Mt. Olive Vacation Bible School

Mount Olive Baptist Church will hosts its 2007 Vacation Bible School from 5 to 8 p.m. August 13-17, at the Mount Olive Christian Life Center, located at 106 W. Park Avenue in Orange. This year's theme is “God's All-Star Champions.” If transportation is needed, please contact the church at 409-886-2508 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.



FBC-Orange preschool

First Baptist Church of Orange announces fall enrollment for Road to Life Preschool and Mother's Day Out for the 2007-2008 school year. Children ages 6 months through 5 years old (pre-kindergarten) are eligible to register. Preschool offers kindergarten preparation in the preK-2, preK-3 and preK-4 classes using a faith-based curriculum. Children attend Preschool and Mother's Day Out from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. NOBC preschool

The North Orange Baptist Church and Preschool Program is in the process of registering for the fall semester. Classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 4, and continue throughout the school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children ages 9 months through 5 years are accepted into the program. The preschool program offers curriculum for the 2- through 5-year-old classes, with complete readiness for Kindergarten and an end-of-year graduation program for those leaving to attend Kindergarten. Other activities include music class, arts and crafts, socialization, Bible stories and prayer time, chapel, gym class, playground time, story hour and field trips. The program uses the “Wee Learn” curriculum from Lifeway Christian Resources and parts of several other curriculums.
