Church anniversary
The El Bethel Baptist Church family will celebrate its 60th anniversary at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 26, at the church, which is located at 704 N. 12th St. in Orange. The theme is “God’s Spiritual Progression in a Struggling Recession.”
The guest speaker will be the Rev. Ransom Howard, Pastor of Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church of Port Arthur, and his congregation.
Members from area churches are invited and the church having the most members in attendance, ages 18 and older, will be awarded a trophy.
Ambassadors Before Christ mime group will perform during the program. Doors prizes will be drawn. The public is invited to attend.

Men and Women Annual
Mt. Zion Baptist church will be hosting its Men and Women Day Annual Sunday July 26 at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Quincy Jackson and the St. Paul Baptist Church of Houston will be the Guest Church. Mt. Zion and Pastor Crawford is inviting the entire public to come and join in with us on this glorious event.

First Baptist Church of West Orange will have “Boomerang Express” Vacation Bible School at 6:30 p.m., nightly, July 27 - July 30 for children in first through sixth grades. The public is welcome. Call 409-886-4167 for info.
Pre-school registration
North Orange Baptist Church is registering children ages nine-months to Pre-K into its pre-school program. Classes begin Sept. 1 and continue throughout the school year 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Activities include curriculum work, socialization, field trips, music class, arts and crafts, Bible stories, prayer time, gym and more. Gospel singing
New Anointing Church, located at 10681 N. Hwy 87 in Orange, will have a good, old-fashion gospel singing on Friday, July 31, at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend and to bring your favorite gospel song on tape or CD, musical instruments are welcomed, or you can have musicians accompany you. Building benefit
The Empowered Believers will hold its first ever banquet and benefit for its building fund at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, at Joe Ware Park, 319 W. Park in Orange. The public is invited to come out and enjoy lunch for a $10 donation and meet producer producer Jay South. Bring your tapes and CD demos. There will be books, door prizes and singing. BBQ Sale
New Annointing Church will sell BBQ dinners from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, in the church parking lot at 10681 N. Hwy 87 in Orange. Gospel in Navy Park
The public is invited to attend a gospel music concert at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, in Navy Park in Orange. The event featured Take the Limits Off God, M.A. Bazille and Charles Walker and more.
College info seminar
Breanne Moreaus of Lamar State College-Orange will present a seminar on getting ready for college for upcoming senior students and other young adults at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8 at Colonial Christian Community Church, 1011 10th St., Orange. The public is invited and information on grants, scholarships, loans, applications and admissions will be discussed.
Life Line screening
Fellowship Church of Christ is pleased to host the life-saving services of Life Line Screening, the nation’s largest provider of community-based preventive screenings, in order to help local residents identify their risk of stroke, vascular disease and osteoporosis before the catastrophic effects of these conditions can occur.
