A WO-S Middle School teacher suffers injuries when a student assaulted her on Wednesday.
An Orange Police Officer had responded to the call of an assualt on Wednesday and returned to the school on Thursday to speak with the victim.
The teacher, assigned to the Behavior Unit, told the officer that a student tried to leave according to police reports.
The student was asked to sit down and refused. The student, using their shoulder, pushed the teacher in attempt to leave the classroom.
The teacher told the officer she put her hands out in front of her with her palms away from her when the student grabbed one hand and twisted around.
The teacher was treated at Baptist Hospital - Orange for a broken/dislocated finger.
The investigation is ongoing.
