Collision sends 2 adults, 2 children to hospital

ORANGE — A 2003 silver Pontiac traveling eastbound at the 3900 block of Hwy. 87 on Thursday crossed the center lane colliding head-on with a 2007 silver Toyota SUV traveling in the westbound lane.

The collision caused serious bodily injury to the driver of the Pontiac and the driver as well as the two passengers, ages 9 and 1, of the SUV according to police reports.

Acadian Ambulance Services transported the four injured persons to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

The driver of the Pontiac was cited for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
