LAKE CHARLES, La. — An argument resulting in a shooting during a candlelight vigil resulted in at least one person requiring emergency surgery.

Area community members were holding a candlelight vigil approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, at the 1900 block of 1908 Winterhalter Street, for the three victims in last year's triple homicide at McMillan Park when an argument occurred resulting in a shooting.

Lake Charles Police Officers responded in reference to a shooting with two individuals possibly being shot.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken by private means to a local hospital where he was taken to emergency surgery.

Broussard was arrested and booked on Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Judge David Ritchie, 14th Judicial District Court, set Broussard's bond at $350,000.
