A woman was arrested Wednesday after filling a forged prescription at Kroger’s.
The pharmacy alerted Orange Police Department when the woman dropped off the fraudulent prescription. The staff told an officer the doctor named on the hard copy does not prescribe narcotics nor use hard copy prescriptions according to the police report.
The woman, 23, was stopped by the officer after paying for the prescription.
The female told the officer she saw the doctor for back pain and gave the officer her purchase.
The officer confirmed with the Beaumont doctor that the prescription was a forgery.
While placing the woman into custody, the officer detected the scent of marijuana on the woman.
A small bag of marijuana was found on the woman as well as another forged hard copy prescription.
The woman is charged with forging or altering a prescription and possession of marijuana.
