Man shot during disturbance

ORANGE — Officers from the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched at approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday to the 1300 block of 5th Street, Arthur Robinson Housing Complex, in reference to shots being fired.

Several males were involved in a disturbance resulting in shots being fired. One man suffered from a gunshot wound to the upper leg.

The man was transported by a private vehicle to Baptist Hospital Orange.

The injury does not appear to be life threatening according to a press release.

A handgun, several spent casings and live casings were recovered from the scene.

Detectives and ID were called out to assist.  

The investigation is ongoing by the Orange Police Department.
