A string of vehicle burglaries throughout the county is under investigation by local law enforcement agencies.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several reports of vehicle burglaries in “various areas and neighborhoods” throughout Orange County, according to Sgt. Chad Hogan of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
“Most of the burglaries have occurred on vehicles with unlocked doors,” Hogan stated. “As a reminder, please lock your car doors and hide all valuable property so that it is not visible through the windows.”
Investigators are seeking information on any of the burglaries which have occurred, including suspicious people or activity in neighborhoods where burglaries have been reported.
Sheriff Keith Merritt and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be watchful and alert and to report suspicious activity, including license plate numbers of suspicious vehicles “if they can be safely obtained.”
