Vinton, Louisiana —
An alert citizen helped in leading Orange Police officers to the location of the man believed to have robbed the Capital One Bank, 3738 16th Street in Orange on Tuesday.
The Orange Police Department received a call at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday night concerning a vehicle matching the description of the car seen leaving the parking lot after the robbery. The vehicle was spotted in Vinton, Louisiana.
Orange Police Dispatch contacted the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, and a CPSO Deputy stopped the vehicle on IH-10 East Bound at the 20 mile marker. A white male occupant of the vehicle, Allen Keith Miller, 49, of Cameron, Louisiana, fit the description on the suspect. Orange Police Detectives and an FBI Agent responded to the scene.
After investigating the situation, Orange Police Detectives obtained a Robbery arrest warrant for the male occupant of the vehicle. The warrant was signed by Orange County Justice of the Peace Pct. 1, Judge Peck.
The suspect was arrested and has been booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail.
