Vidor man sentenced to life in prison

ORANGE — A Vidor man is going to prison for life after being found guilty of capital murder by a jury on Friday.

Curtis Allen Garrison of Vidor was found guilty of capital murder on Friday by a jury in the 163rd District Court of Judge Dennis Powell. Garrison, 28, received an automatic sentence of life without parole.

The jury, which began deliberation on Thursday, found Garrison guilty in the November 23, 2012 shooting deaths of husband and wife, Aaron and Summer Conn of Vidor.

According to The Orange Leader archives, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office discovered the bodies of Aaron Conn, 34, and Summer Conn, 30, in the 5600 block of Woodside Drive located in north Vidor after receiving a report of gunshots fired.

Investigators located the suspect, later identified as Garrison, at a separate residence in the 15000 block of FM 1442 in Mauriceville.
