WO-S Middle School drama team earns second place at contest

ORANGE — West Orange–Stark Middle School students placed second overall in the small school division of the C.O. Wilson Middle School Educational Drama Association (EDA) Festival this past Saturday.

WO-S students competed in group acting, poetry, group mime, prose, storytelling and monologue acting.

Malisa Vincent earned a superior rating in prose, storytelling, and monologue acting. Josh Almeida also earned a superior rating in monologue acting. With the superior rating, both students earn qualification to the EDA State Festival which will be held in the spring.

Also competing and earning ribbons for West Orange–Stark Middle School were: Whitney Lopez, Dusty Ancelet, Destiny LeBouef, Diane McLemore, Ashley Newman, Kaylyn Newman, Makaila Simmons, Josh Almeida, Denise Walker, Dahlia Conway, Amir’ee Ellison, Essence Landry, Aubree Lanham, Rachael LeBouef, Lexi Lafluer and Ashlyn Newman.
