Vidor Rotarians to hold community-wide garage sale

VIDOR — The Vidor Rotary Club is gearing up once more for their annual community-wide garage sale, to be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Woods’ Plaza parking lot. The sale will run from 8 a.m. until noon, and patrons can purchase booths for only $10 each. The booth is the size of a parking space. Rotary will do all the advertising and number the spaces. Patrons and groups just need to bring whatever they want to sell.

“We encourage school and church groups as well as individuals to come out and have a booth,” said Rotary President Tim Andrews. “Last fall’s sale was a lot of fun and we had a good turnout. People can sell food, crafts, and of course, garage sale items. It could just be a really good fundraiser for a group or someone looking to make some Christmas money.”

Forms to register for the sale are available from Sally Andrews at Vidor School Administration or Karen Tipton at Capital One Bank. Payment must be made at the time of the booth registration, and space numbers will be assigned then. Tables and chairs must be provided by the seller. Electricity is not available.

“Each space is a pretty good size. You can actually get five tables in a spot,” Andrews added.

He goes on to state that proceeds from the sale will be used to support Vidor Rotary's green bus Read and Feed program, which takes meals and books to children and youth in Vidor. The green bus will be on hand at the sale, giving out free books to any children who attend the sale with their parents.

For further information, call Sally Andrews at 409-951-8713.
