LITTLE CYPRESS —
A local school district will hold two meetings to discuss variety of topics pertaining to dyslexia with parents.
The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Consolidated Independent School District will hold two meetings, one at 10 a.m. and one at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD Education Center at the Special Programs building on the corner of MLK and FM 1130, to provide parent training on the characteristics of dyslexia and Section 504 eligibility criteria.
This program will provide information and discuss the awareness of characteristics of dyslexia and related disorders; information on testing and diagnosis of dyslexia; information on effective strategies for teaching dyslexic students; and awareness of information on modification, especially modifications allowed on standardized testing.
