• Theft in the 1500 block of Strickland.

• Alarm in the 3600 block of Whipporwill.

Monday, May 26

• Alarm in the 2600 block of Tanglewood.

• Alarm in the 2200 block of MacArthur.

• Disturbance in the 600 block of Bridal Wreath.

Tuesday, May 27

• Alarm in the 3700 block of West Park Avenue.

• Theft in the 2500 block of MLK.

• Harassment in the 3800 block of Pheasant.

• Theft in the 2400 block of MacArthur Drive.

Wednesday, May 28

• Assist other agency at Adams Bayou and Interstate 10.

• Suspicious person in the 1400 block of Strickland.

Thursday, May 29

• Assist other agency in the 1400 block of Newton.

• Assist other agency in the 3100 block of Edgar Brown Drive.

Friday, May 30

• Theft in the 1900 block of Strickland.

• Disturbance in the 2800 block of MacArthur Drive.

• Assist other agency in the area of State Highway 62 and Interstate 10.

• Suspicious activity in the 4000 block of Whipporwill.

Saturday, May 31

• Disturbance in the 2700 block of MacArthur Drive.

• Theft in the 200 block of Strickland.

• Disturbance in the 2900 block of Bonham.

• Disturbance in the 100 block of Katherine.

    Due to the demand for highly qualified teachers who have received face-to-face instruction by highly experienced master teachers, the Alternative Certification for Educators Program, the ACE program, at Lamar State College–Orange will restart in fall 2014 on a limited basis.

  • Killgo speaks Killgo shares info with Friends of the Library

    Dr. Jay Killgo, Superintendent of Schools for the Vidor Independent School District, was the guest speaker at the Vidor Friends of the Library meeting this past week. Killgo discussed goals for the upcoming year for Vidor ISD and shared success stories, such as improved test scores and student achievement.

  • Summer Camp Fun VISD offers fun summer camp events

    Boys in Vidor ISD Community Education’s summer basketball camp had a great time this past week learning skills and drills. Other camps, which are open to anyone, not just Vidor residents, this summer are cooking, animals, princess camp, pirates, girls’ volleyball, drama, arts and crafts, science, soccer, and running.
