Monday Night Math returns for middle school parents

West Orange-Stark Middle School math teachers invite parents of WO-S Middle School students to attend “Monday Night Math” sessions which will be offered monthly throughout the school year. The sessions will begin on Monday, Oct. 26.

Middle School math teachers will meet with parents to answer questions relating to math concepts. The goal of “Monday Night Math” sessions is to assist parents in helping their children with math homework by reviewing math skills. The information will also be useful to parents in helping their student prepare for the TAKS test.

The Oct. 26 Monday Night Math session will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in designated classrooms located on the first floor of the Stark Building. Parents will meet in the cafeteria for a brief time and then report to classrooms.

No children or students will be allowed to attend these “Parent Only” sessions.

Other “Monday Night Math” sessions are scheduled for the following dates: Nov. 16, Dec. 7, Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 22, April 12, and May 3. All of these sessions will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
