‘Breakfast Buddies’ educates parents and students

ORANGE — North Early Learning Center’s Parent Involvement room was overflowing for the first meeting of the 2009-2010 school year of “Breakfast Buddies.”

At the first meeting of the monthly program, approximately 40 Head Start parents were treated to breakfast and an “Ages and Stages” workshop instructed by NELC Education Coordinator Charmaine Campbell.

The workshop included a booklet which provided parents with age appropriate learning activities for three and four year old students, as well as other parenting strategies.

Following the workshop, parents met with their students to apply learning through play strategies.
