Shangri-La Birdman Talbert Meadows and Maxine the Barn Owl visit with children following their feature program at the West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District Summer Reading Program on June 9. Students are eager to view and photograph Maxine close up. Students, from first through tenth grades, enjoyed learning about owls and then dissecting a wild owl’s pellet to identify bones.
