The United States has grown to love to complain and second guess everything.
Americans love to turn any event or comment into a controversy. And we have done it again.
This time it centered on the state of Texas.
Gov. Rick Perry, who this newspaper has openly criticized, held his prayer convention in Houston Saturday amid protests and backlash.
Perry was not out bashing President Obama like many do on television each night. Perry did not tweet insults at other Republicans.
The governor was simply doing what he thought needed to be done and showed great concern for this country.
If that is ever a bad thing, it will be time to move to Canada.
Remember when Obama burst onto the scene? There were so many who feared he was Muslim and just his last name alone was the talk of the nation.
Now, Perry to some is too religious and this event was the worst idea since Coca-Cola put out New Coke.
We as a nation need to make up our minds and take a united stand on what we want in this country.
Our country is in a time of crisis like never before. No matter what religion or how religious, being under a single roof and uniting to find this problem has no down side.
We applaud Perry this time and hope more citizens and elected officials work towards a bright future for everyone.
