Justice Coin not a good idea for US

ORANGE —

Twas the night before New Years Day and all through the house, not a creature was stirring....

Well that last part is not true at the Pruett residence these days with my six month old cat Simba seems to never sleep and laughs in the face of getting in trouble.

Yet it was a calm New Year’s Eve up until the point when a commercial on television made me lose an hour or so of sleep that night.

The commercial was for a new coin came across the tube. The coin is named the Justice Coin and is sold through Justice Coin LLC.

It honors and commemorates May 1, 2011. If you don’t remember that is the day US troops shot and killed Osama bin Laden.

Please do not take me as someone who is not thankful a gutless killer is not around to harm people anymore. I applaud the troops who carried out the mission given to them and I am thankful no US troops were injured in the operation.

I am against the sale of this coin.

We cannot and should not have to run and hide from terrorists and nobody should have to change their life in fear.

Yet, this coin and the profits made off it do no good for anyone else but the makers.

Are we really the nation which celebrates assassinations? When did we become ones to stoop that low?

Part of the TV special was the person who purchased it would receive a casing to hang the coin on the Christmas tree.

I lost it at this point. I had stayed home for New Year’s Eve and had not got out of bed to do much other than chase Simba away from doing who knows what.

Hang the coin from a Christmas tree? Where do you put it? Right next to the nativity scene ornament?
