Gayle Lesher

ORANGE —    Gayle Lesher, 75, of Orange, passed from this life suddenly on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Christus - St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont after an illness.  Born on September 17, 1938 in Wichita County, Texas to her parents, Joseph Lyle Spring and Bessie Mae (Mouton) Spring, she was a lifelong resident of Orange, she also had lived in Beaumont, she was raised in the Catholic faith, she was a member of Cathedral in the Pines Church in Beaumont and she worked as a nurse’s aide in the home healthcare industry. 

   Gayle was a good and faithful servant of her Lord Jesus Christ, she enjoyed oil painting, going antiquing and she loved going out to eat at the Golden Coral with her friends and family.  Gayle will be most fondly remembered as a loving spirit who cared for her family and friends very much. 

   Gayle is preceded in death by her grandparents and her dear friend, Rosemary Hunt.  Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughters, Deanna Noel Brown and Lisa Barrow of Jasper and Kelley Lesher Miller and husband, Marc of Orange; her grandchildren, Nicole Boddie and husband Marty, Randy Floyd and wife, Niketa, Alesha Harris and husband, Jardon and Wesley Green; her great grandchildren, Dylan Floyd, Amber Floyd, Jada Harris, Landon Harris, Ricky Boddie, Jackson Boddie, Samantha Boddie and Matthew Boddie.  Gayle is also survived by numerous extended family members and very dear friends. 

   Memorial services to remember and honor Gayle’s life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.  Officiating will be Pastor Marty Boddie with the St. Matthews United Methodist Church in High Island, Texas.

   A gathering of Gayle’s family and friends for a time of reflection will be from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.  Rite of Committal and Entombment will follow services at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park Mausoleum in Orange.
