Ruth Ellen Sauls Tanner, 88 years old of Orange, TX passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at her home on Toledo Bend.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 2:00pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, LA. Interment will follow in the Florien Cemetery.
She was born March 7, 1925 in Covington, LA. Ruth worked for many years in the medical field as a registered nurse.
Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also had a fondness of destitute cats. She nurtured everything and everyone she touched. Ruth was an example of courage and faith. She gave of herself so that others could be better.

She is survived by son Robert Breaux, Ph.D. and wife Katie of Maitland, FL; daughters Linda Patterson of Orange, TX, Beverly Thames and husband Dale of Bay City, TX; stepchildren Joe Donald Tanner of Oregon, Sharon Louise Gallien, sister Milly Arnold of Orange, TX; grandchildren Scot Breaux, Ashley Breaux, Jeffrey Davis, Jason Davis; great-grandchildren Lila Kathryn McKee, Joshua Davis; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Sabine Parish Humane Society 520 McDonald Drive Many, LA in her memory.
