The Celebration of Life for Mother Blanche Bell Feathers, 83 of Orange will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the New Beginnings Outreach Ministry Church. Rev. Eddie Lee Smith, Pastor, Minister Cynthia Smith, Co-Pastor.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
She died May 19, 2013 at her residence.
A native of Magnolia, AR, she resided in Orange since 1958.
She was a longtime member of the St. Paul C.M.E. Church. There she was a Stewardess, member of the Pastor’s Aide Society, Missionary Society, and Eddie Lou Strong Circle.
She was also a member of the Gate City Court of Calanthe.
In 2008 she united with the New Beginnings Outreach Ministry Church, under the leadership of her son-in-law and daughter, pastor and co-pastor Rev. Eddie Lee and Minister Cynthia Smith.
She was the Church Mother of the New Beginnings Church.
She is survived by 7 sons, Elder Wilbert Carr (Evangelist Laurice) of Pittsburgh, PA, Phillip Carr, Rev. James Bell (Patricia) and Minister Terry Bell (Nina) all of Orange, Stevie Bell of Fresno, CA, and Michael Harris and Franklin Carr both of Houston, TX, 6 daughters, Joyce Tillman of Topeka, KS, Minister Cynthia Smith (Rev. Eddie Lee), Kimm Riggs, Judy Rhine, Evelyn Harris, and Valrie Robinson, all of Orange, 41 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
