ORANGE — Leon V. Norwood, 87, formerly of Oklahoma City, passed away on November 12, 2013, in Amarillo, TX. He was born in Orangefield, TX, on November 24, 1925. He married Ima Jean Bailess on December 4, 1953, in Houston, TX. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and a graduate of the University of Texas. He was preceded in death by his spouse of 50 years; his parents, Cassie and Ellen Norwood; sister, Joy Bouillon; brother, Homer; and nephew, Leon Bouillon. He is survived by daughters, Darlene Brasington & husband, Bruce of Canyon, TX; Cindy Sheppard & husband, Michael of Haskell, OK; and son, Doug Norwood of Marietta, GA; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a nephew, nieces and cousins. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 5 – 8 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Chapel Hill with Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
