ORANGE — Martha Dale Landry McHugh, 64, of Orange, passed from this life on Friday, January 17, 2014 while a resident of The Meadows Nursing Center in Orange.  Born on June 1, 1949 in Orange, Texas to her parents, Ellis Landry and Ethel LaQuata (Frances) Landry, she was a lifelong resident of Orange and a homemaker.  Martha was a member of the Old First Orange Baptist Church where she attended Sunday School with the Ruth Class, she enjoyed spending time with her son when he was a child, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working at the church with her Dear Friend, Anna McKay.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Steve McHugh and her cousin, Dalton LeBlanc.  Those who will most cherish her memory are her son, Jake McHugh and his wife, Angie of Orange; her brother, Randy Landry and his wife, Vickie of Orange; her grandchildren, Hunter D. McHugh, Kolton McHugh, Talor Morgan, Natalie Morgan and Trevor Morgan; her caretaker and dear friend, Anna McKay and her husband, Ronnie of Orange and her dear friend, Robbie McCabe and her husband, Horton of Orange.

Services by which to honor and remember Martha’s life will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 19, 2014 in the Sanctuary of the Old First Orange Baptist Church, 7925 Interstate Highway 10 in Orange with Reverend Keith Meyer, pastor of the church, officiating.  A gathering of family and friends for a time of reflection and sharing will be from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the church.  Honoring Martha as pallbearers will be Horton McCabe, Ronnie McKay, Ronnie Reese, Tresray Blackwell, Donovan Weldon and Jack Cornell.  For those who desire memorial donations, please make a donation in memory of Martha to the Building Fund at the Old First Orange Baptist Church, 7925 Interstate Highway 10, Orange, Texas 77630.  Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.  Condolences may be listed for the family at
