Jane M. Zetar-Sterling, 74, of Orange, Texas, passed away at her home, Friday, July 12, 2013. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Orange, Texas.
Jane was born January 2, 1939 in Orange, TX. She was the daughter of Lillie Mae and Carlton Zetar Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Joseph Dallas Sterling Sr and a son, Michael Sterling Sr. She attended Emma H. Wallace High School. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Bridgette Judge (Darrow), Joseph Sterling, Jr. (Darlean), Lydia Hill-Lee (Robin), Donnetta Petry (Mark), Annetta Sterling-Vontoure, Shalynndrea Sterling, LaReesha Sias ( Charles) and Michael Sterling Jr.

She also is survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many family members who loved her deeply.
Jane was a longtime resident of Orange. She provided great customer service for many years at Sears Roebuck & Company, where she retired from. Her love for children led her to become the owner and operator of Jane’s Daycare. She was a caring and compassionate mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play football, just as much as, she loved to watch the girls put on talent shows and dance routines. She found comfort and joy spending time with her family and loved them deeply.
