ORANGE — James “Jim” Curtis Marsh, Sr., 82, Bradenton, FL,  passed away Feb. 5, 2014. Jim was born Jan. 10, 1932 in Huntsville, TX to the late Otto Curtis & Dorothy (Thompkins) Marsh.

He was a graduate of Lutcher Stark H.S in Orange, TX and Lamar State College of Technology in Beaumont, TX, and moved to Bradenton in 1966 coming from Lufkin, TX. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Miller Trailers and Logan Steel in Bradenton, and also was the owner and operator of Ambit Fabricating in Bradenton. Jim was also an avid bowler and master of all things mechanical.

He is survived by his three loving children; Judy Carol Bowen of Kannapolis, NC, James “Jim” C. Marsh, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, JoAnn “Josie” (Charlie) Conoley of Bradenton, sister, Dorothy Ann (Ken) Cheairs of Dallas, TX, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two nephews and many extended family members and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in his memory.
