ROUND ROCK —
Sybil Choate Robnett, 95, left her earthly home, Saturday, September 7, 2013, after a full life devoted to her God, her family, and her friends.
She was born June 29, 1918 in Burg, Arkansas; the fourth of six children born to Elizabeth Owen Choate and James Franklin Choate. Her childhood was spent in Konawa, Oklahoma where she received her education and met the love of her life, Orville Mart Robnett.
The ultimate joy of Sybil’s life was her family. She married Orville on June 7, 1936, and lived in several towns in Oklahoma before settling in Orange, Texas. They called Orange home all the remainder of their married lives, and raised all four of their children there. She was preceded in death by Orville in 1993, and daughter, Sharon in 2005. Left to cherish her memory are daughter and son-in-law Gailya and Bill Oliver of Longview, TX; daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Ron DeLord of Georgetown, TX; son and daughter-in-law Nathan and Shanon Robnett of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren Gina Gay Lovelace, Joni Westall, Koby Henderson, Kent Oliver, Shanna Oliver Smith, Jonathan DeLord, Brandi Robnett, Kevin Robnett; nine great- grandchildren; and a host of extended family and good friends.
Sybil’s Christian faith, generosity, kind heart, and servant’s spirit were an inspiration to all who came to know her. Some of her favorite activities were nursing sick grandchildren back to health, sewing for her loved ones, family gatherings, traveling, playing dominoes with friends, and fishing as often as she could, but her greatest joy came from helping others. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of calling her Mom, MawMaw, GreatMa, and friend.
