ORANGE — The Celebration of Life for Mr. Fred Douglas Knox, 84, of Orange were held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie A.E. Crockett, Sr. is the pastor.

Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

He died Monday at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.

A native of Arkadelphia, AR, he resided in Orange 60 years. He retired from the former Lamb’s Printing Company.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Knox, of Orange, 3 sons, Reginald L. Knox of Houston, TX, Rev. Claude “Jeff” Knox, Sr. of Humble, TX, and Deron Keith Knox of Orange, 2 daughters, LaDoria Gray of Houston, and Stephanie Jones of Orange, 3 brothers, Richard Knox of Orange, Themas Knox of Detroit, MI, and Hosea Bullock of Bellville, MI, 7 sisters, Martha Newborn of Malvern, AR, Seneva Hunter, Geneva Knox, and Zelma Knox, all of Arkadelphia, AR, Flora Thompson of Little Rock, AR, Annette Middleton of Gerton, AR and Katheleen Knox of TX, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
