SEABRON “SONNY” REESE McKEE, JR.

— Seabron “Sonny” Reese McKee, Jr., 68, of Orange, passed Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 26, 2006 at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange with Chaplain Wayne McEwen with Odyssey Healthcare Hospice in Beaumont, officiating. Services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
Born on October 3, 1937 to Seabron Reese and Devona A. (Potter) McKee, Sr. in Halstead, Kansas, he was a lifelong resident of the Orange area and retired as a Boilermaker and Welder with Boilermakers Local #587 in the construction industry in Orange.
Mr. McKee is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Samuel and Nora McKee and Charles and Gurnsie Potter. Brother, Ralph McKee and Brother and Sister-In Law, John and Cheryl McKee. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Thibodeaux McKee of Orange, daughter Laura Gordon and husband Odes of Orange, Texas. Son, Kevin McKee and his fiancée Angela Kaiser both of Vidor. Father-in-law, Allen Thibodeaux of Vinton, Louisiana. Sister, Charlotte McKee of LaGrange, Texas. Aunt, Ada McKee of Sulphur, Louisiana. Granddaughters, Brianna McKee of Orange and Rylie Kaiser of Vidor and Seven nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dwayne Boyd, Ted Copeland, Donnie Couthran, Charles Hodgkinson, Jake Robertson, Seth “Sonny” Shelton and Buddy Withrow.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Paul Mathews and staff at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and the nurses and staff of Odyssey Healthcare Hospice in Beaumont. Their attention and care during Sonny’s final days is most appreciated by the family.
