DOROTHY LOEWEN McNAMARA

Dorothy Loewen McNamara, 83, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.



She was born in Columbia, South Carolina, raised in Orange, and has been in the Beaumont area since 1975.



Her parents, George G. and Katherine Loewen; and her sister, Louella Long preceded her in death.



Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Thomas M. McNamara; daughter, Kathy Russell and her husband Gene of Beaumont; and sons, Mike McNamara and his wife Bonnie of Ostrander, Ohio and Louis McNamara of Houston; three grandchildren, Jeff Winney, Tom McNamara and Maxine McNamara; two step grandchildren, Kevin Russell and Greg Russell; and three step great grandchildren.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial in Bridge City under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Mortuary.
