Savage Weds Ballard

Orange, Texas — Rita Savage became the bride of Scott Ballard on Saturday, July 24th at 6:00 p.m. at the  First Church of the Nazerene in Orange, Texas in a double ring ceremony. Rev. Ray McDowell and Rev. Chris Savage, Brother of the Bride, officiated. The bride  is the daughter of Billy and Joyce Savage of Orange, Texas. Her Father escorted her down the aisle. The bridegroom is the son of Linda Ballard and the late Kenneth Ballard of Orange, Texas. Derrin Hoyland played the wedding music and Larry Winder provided vocals. Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was Billie Cisneros with Tamara Barnum as bridesmaid.  Kali Johnson was the flower girl  while Alex Cisneros carried the rings. Len Barker served as best man with Willie McNeal as Groomsman.   Charles Dixson and Dwayne Hines seated the guests. Sunset Grove Country Club was the site of the reception at which Judy Sonnier and Pauline Dixson served.  The bride is a 1989 graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. The groom is a 1984 graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School and graduated from Lamar University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He is President of S &T International in Mauriceville. Prenuptial courtesies included two kitchen showers given by Billie Cisneros, Monica Garret, Suzanne Williams, Doris Byrd and Linda Sims. Following their honeymoon in England and France, the couple is living happily ever after in Orange.
