ORANGE — Shangri La Botanical Garden and Nature Center is always full of wonder and color no matter the time of year, but it is even more so during the holiday season and its night-time Christmas strolls through the gardens. The strolls are held from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday prior to Christmas. Admission is free with a non-perishable food item to be donated to area charities.

OCSO to purchase new computer software
While the Sheriff’s Employees Union Contract negotiations are still a work in progress, according to County Judge Carl Thibodeaux, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is moving forward with new computer software.
St. Mary Catholic School is honored to donate over $800 to aiding the victims in the Philippines. The event was organized by Cindy Claybar, St. Mary art teacher, and proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross.
