ORANGE — Big Community Sale

Thrift and Gift, 350 37th St. in Orange, will hold its Big Community sale from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, May 4 featuring Allen’s Antiques, Tom Windham’s Art Class and many other vendors. Food and drinks will also be served. Booths still available for $12 each. Call 409-886-7649 for info.

Family Fiesta Day

The Stark Museum of Art, 712 Green Ave. in Orange, invites the public to Family Fiesta Day from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, May 4. The event is free and open to the public. The Mexican Heritage Folkloric Dancers will perform. Call 409-886-2787 or visit www.starkmuseum.org for info.

Saturday Adventure Series

Shangri La Botanical Garden and Nature Center, 2111 W. Park in Orange, invites the public to its Saturday Adventure Series, “Secrets of the Trees,” at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 4. Guests will learn how to distinguish one tree from another, their needs and how they grow. Space is limited. RSVP by calling 409-670-9799.

Farmers Market

A Farmers Market is now available starting at 8:30 a.m., every Saturday, through November at Rocking R Farm and Ranch, 2772 State Highway 12 in Vidor. Vendors are welcome and there is no charge for booths. Call 409-422-4184 for information.

OC Farmers Market

The Orange County Farmers Market is back in season twice-per-week from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., Saturday, and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., every Wednesday, in the parking lot of Big Lots on MacArthur Drive in Pinehurst. The public is welcome to attend.

Mothers Day Out Registration

North Orange Baptist Church MDO/Preschool is now registering for Summer and Fall sessions. The summer session begins June 11. The fall session begins Sept. 3. Classes are from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Vidor Historical Society

The Vidor Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, May 6 at in the Fellowship Hall of First Pentecostal Church at Camp and Wilson Streets.
