Drive for Your School
The Vidor High School theatre department has been asked to participate in the David Self Ford Drive for your school from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, May 4. All drivers must be 18 years or older to qualify with valid drivers license and insurance. The group will earn funds for each person who test drives a car.
A Farmers Market is now available starting at 8:30 a.m., every Saturday, through November at Rocking R Farm and Ranch, 2772 State Highway 12 in Vidor. Vendors are welcome and there is no charge for booths. Call 409-422-4184 for information.
Vidor Historical Society
The Vidor Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, May 6 at in the Fellowship Hall of First Pentecostal Church at Camp and Wilson Streets.
Pine Forest City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, May 6 at City Hall, 305 Nagel St. in Pine Forest. The public is welcome to attend.
Vidor ISD Kindergarten registration will be held for children who will be five years of age on or before Sept. 1. Campuses will be available from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., on the following days: Oak Forest Elementary, May 6 - May 8; Pine Forest Elementary, April 29 – May 3; Vidor Elementary, April 30 – May 2. Registration is available online at www.vidorisd.org. Bring the following forms to your child’s campus to complete the registration process: Signature page from the online registration, Certified Copy of Birth Certificate, Record of Immunizations, Copy of Child’s Social Security Card, Parent/Guardian Drivers License and Proof of Residency. VHS Project Graduation.
The Vidor High School Project Graduation group meets at 6:30 p.m., every Monday, in the VHS cafeteria, 500 Orange St. in Vidor.
VHS Athletic Boosters
The Vidor Pirate Athletic Booster Club meets at 5:30 p.m., every Monday, in the main concession stand at the VHS football stadium. All parents of Vidor boys and girls athletics, and the community, are invited to attend.
The Vidor Rotary Club meets at noon, every Monday, upstairs in the Capital One building on North Main Street.

Vidor Runners and Walkers meet at 5:30 p.m., every Tuesday, at Claiborne West Park. Runners and walkers of every age and level are invited.
