Halloween events begin Saturday

ORANGE — If you are looking for something fun to do with the kids this Halloween weekend or next Wednesday, then look no further as The Orange Leader has you covered.

Here is a listing of events for Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday across Orange County.

Saturday, Oct. 27

• Little Cypress Baptist Church, 3274 Little Cypress Drive, will hold its annual Fall Festival at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, with a hot dog snack for the family. At 6:30 p.m., a Trunk or Treat will be held for children, and, at 7 p.m., children can enjoy a carnival atmosphere in the family center. Children are encouraged to dress up, but no scary costumes please.

• West Orange Christian Church, 900 Lansing in West Orange, will have a Trunk or Treat event from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27. Wear your costumes for the safe and fun event for the whole family. Visit www.westorangechurch.org for info.

• Trinity Baptist Church, 2850 State Highway 12 in Vidor, will have its Fall Festival Chili Cook-off and Trunk or Treat from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27. Event includes face painting, cake walk, hay ride, snow cones and more. Call 409-769-2843 for info.

• Vidor Health and Rehabilitation Center, 470 Moore Drive in Vidor, will have its Community Fall Festival from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27. The event is free and open to the public and includes food, cake walk, games, prizes, moon walk, cotton candy and more. Call 409-769-2454 for information.

• The West Orange Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Halloween Carnival on from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at the fire station located on Austin Street directly behind West Orange City Hall. The public is invited

Sunday, Oct. 28

• Cove Baptist Church, 1005 DuPont Drive in Orange, invites children to its Heroes Unmasked event from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28. “At our ‘Heroes Unmasked’ event, kids will meet heroes worth having.” Carnival games will be featured. Call 409-883-4155 for info.
