ORANGE — City-wide Community Prayer

A City-wide community prayer will be held from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Second Street basketball court in Orange. The public is invited and guests may bring lawn chairs. Call 409-670-7199 or 409-330-1053 for information.

Lions Carnival

The annual Orange Lions Club Carnival is taking place from 6:30 p.m. - 11 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5; and 4 p.m. - 11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at Orange Lions Den Park. Admission is $1-$2. Saturday, Oct. 6, is “Kiddie Day.”

Vidor Rotary

The Vidor Rotary Club meets at noon, every Monday, upstairs in the Capital One building on North Main Street.

Vidor TOPS Chapter

The Vidor Chapter of TOPS meets at 7 p.m., every Monday, at First United Methodist Church, 501 N. Main in Vidor. Weigh-in is from 6 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. Call Mildred Bellar at 409-769-2708 for info.

Vidor Athletic Boosters

The Vidor High School Athletic Booster Club meets at 5:30 p.m., every Monday, at the main concession stand at Pirate Stadium, 500 Orange St. in Vidor. All parents of VHS athletes are encouraged to attend.

Safe Boating

Sabine Sail and Power Squadron will hold a Safe Boating Class from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Pleasure Island Commission Bldg, 500 Pleasure Island Blvd in Port Arthur. Minimum age is 13. Texas requires boater education for persons under 18 and born after Sept. 1, 1993 to operate boat over 15 HP, personal watercraft or wind driven craft over 14 ft. in length. Vendors needed

Vidor Rotary Club will hold a community wide garage sale from 8 a.m. - noon, Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Woods Center, 175 N. Main St. in Vidor. Spaces are $10 each and are 21’ x 10.5’. Spots must be reserved and paid for by noon, Nov. 1. E-mail sally8363@aol.com for info or a form.
