Benefit

A benefit will be held for Carroll Wayne Hodgkinson to help with his medical costs associated with a terminal illness. Pecan fundraiser

The Mighty Pirates 4-H Club is selling the famous Durham-Ellis pecans from Comanche, Texas, and is accepting orders till Oct. 12. Pecans will be available for pickup before Thanksgiving. Items availabe are raw pecans, flavor pecans, specialty nuts and mixes at various prices. Raw pecans are $9 for a 1 lb bag, $28 for a 3 lb box and $43 for a 5 lb box. Operation Kid Safe

Mike Bott’s safety team will be at Cecil Toyota, 2500 I-10 West in Orange, on Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27, to fingerprint and photo all of the children. We will have the fire department with a truck, police department and the sheriff’s department with cars, safety tips and even some gun-handling safety tips. The mechanical robot (SPARKY) will make a guest appearance.



Dinosaur Day
