Church Calendar 2.9.13

ORANGE — Red and White Tea

The Senior Gospel Seasoned Choir presents 28th Annual Red and White Tea from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 10, in the Life Center of Mount Olive Baptist Church, 106 W. Park Ave. in Orange featuring guest Marsha Guillory, owner of Marsha G’s Boutique. There will also be private collections featuring hats and ladies of the city. Admission is free and the public is invited.

Winter Rally

First Baptist Church in Orangefield will be hosting the Southeast Texas Baptist Area Winter Rally at 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 10 in the Family Life Center. Guest Evangelist Herman Cramer is going to preach. The public is invited.

Worship Service

Bishop Larry Phillips Sr. and Gateway Christian Church, located inside Econo Lodge at 2900 Interstate 10 in Orange, invite the public to Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m. and Wednesday worship at 7 p.m. Prophet Alvin Alves will be guest speaker at 11 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 10.

Spirit Powered Journey

First Christian Church of Orange, located at Ninth and Elm, invites the public on a “Spirit-Powered 2013 Journey to the Empty Tomb” at 10 a.m., Sunday worship, Feb. 10 to hear the message, “Pushing Boredom Aside.” The public is invited.

Ash Wednesday

Salem United Methodist Church will hold its Ash Wednesday service from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13. “Come and Go” prayer ashes and communion.

Best of Best Gospel Fest

The Best of the Best Gospel Fest will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Joe Ware Plaza in Orange. Tickets are $15 and includes meal. Call 409-883-2611 for tickets and information.

Crisis Preparation Expo

Little Cypress Baptist Church, 3274 Little Cypress Drive, invites the public to its 2013 Crisis Preparation Expo from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 featuring speakers and exhibitors. Call 409-883-8905 to sign up for a mason jar canning demonstration. This is a great event for those who are unsure how to have sufficient food and clean water during a crisis.
