Levi Gollihare, 22, of Orange, was arrested following a vehicle pursiut on Thursday.
Orange County Sheriff's Deputy observed a black Chevy truck pass another vehicle in a no passing zone and accelerating at a high rate of speed at approximately 11:33 p.m.
The deputy attempted to initiaie a traffice stop, but the truck continued without stopping.
Speeds during the ensuiong pursuit were as high as 85 miles per hour in a posted 35 miles per hour zone according to a press release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
The driver of the truck pulled into a residence driveway at 10109 Farm to Market Road 105 and came to a stop after it collided into a fence.
Gollihare exited the truck and attempted to climb over the fence to evade the Deputy on foot.
Gollihare continued his attempt to get away from the Deputy, however, the Deputy managed to get close enough to the suspect to deploy a Tazer and bring the suspect into custody.
Gollihare was detained for Evading Arrest with a vehicle. A small amount of synthetic marijuana and Valium were located in the vehicle that Gollihare was driving.
Gollihare also had an outstanding warrant, a Motion to Revoke Probation (MTRP) out of the 128th District Court.
Gollihare was transported to the Orange County Jail and booked for Evading Arrest-State Jail Felony, Possession of a Controlled substance-Misdemeanor B, Possession of Synthetic Marijuana-Misdemeanor B, and the MTRP Warrant.
He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace David Peck approximately 7:45 a.m. Friday.
The bond amounts for all offenses totaled $2,500.
The MTRP Warrant had no Bond.
Gollihare remains in custody at the Orange County Jail.
