ORANGE — Andrea K. Rhodes graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, earning the rank of Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class. In February 2012, Rhodes completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Rhodes earned distinction as an honor graduate. She is the daughter of Jim and Deborah Rhodes of Pea Farm Road in Orange, Texas. The airman is a 2005 graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. Airman 1st Class Rhodes next completed Security Forces Tech School in June of 2012. She was chosen as the Outstanding Performer for her team. Rhodes continued her work each month as an Air Force Reservist and is now a Senior Airman serving a tour of duty over seas.
