OC man charged with 4 counts of aggravated sexual assault of child

ORANGE — A man indicted this past week on four charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child is behind bars.

Orange County resident Jack David Hoosier was indicted Oct. 24, 2012, by the Orange County Grand Jury on four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child stemming from an investigation that began in late September when deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from Baptist Hospital Orange about the possible sexual assault of a child.

Hoosier, 36, was arrested and remains behind bars at the Orange County Correctional Facility. His bond has been set at $100,000 each for each count for a total of $400,000.

Deputies met the caller who reported the incident at the hospital on Sept. 25, 2012, who stated her two daughter had said they had been sexually assaulted by a person who lived with them.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into allegations. Investigators identified “the suspect as Hoosier, who is also a registered sex offender.

Hoosier later provided law enforcement personnel with a “full written confession” and remains behind bars.

No trial date has been set.
