ORANGE — Young People’s Theater Workshop

Orange Community Players is now accepting registration for its Young People’s Theater Workshop. Registration is at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 25. The workshop is June 10 - June 14. Visit www.orangecommunityplayers.com for info.

Farmers Market

A Farmers Market is now available starting at 8:30 a.m., every Saturday, through November at Rocking R Farm and Ranch, 2772 State Highway 12 in Vidor. Vendors are welcome and there is no charge for booths. Call 409-422-4184 for information.

OC Farmers Market

The Orange County Farmers Market is back in season twice-per-week from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., Saturday, and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., every Wednesday, in the parking lot of Big Lots on MacArthur Drive in Pinehurst. Items available include green beans, sugar snap peas, yellow squash, potatoes, red onions, mustard greens, tender greens, blueberries, blueberry bushes, plants, homemade jams and jellies, local honey, fresh eggs, homemade cookies and granola, fresh bread and more.The public is welcome to attend.

Memorial Day tribute

The public is invited to a Memorial Day tribute at 6 p.m., Sunday, May 26, at Heritage Veteran’s Memorial Plaza, 3810 MLK in Orange, on the grounds of Orange First Church of the Nazarene. The event is free and open to the public.

Memorial Day Service

Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, 2111 W. Park in Orange, invites the public to its annual Memorial Day ceremony at 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 27. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating. Visit www.shangrilagardens.org for info.

American Legion Officer Installation

Lloyd Grubbs American Legion Post 49, located at 108 Green Ave. in Orange, is hosting its 2013-2014 Post and Auxiliary Officer Installation at 7 p.m., Monday, May 27. All members and their guests are encouraged to attend. We will reture to the clubroom following the program for a cash bar and snacks.
