VFW, Ladies Auxiliary seeking ‘early bird dues’

ORANGE — The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 2775 is making plans to attend the State Convention. The National group moved its convention to an earlier date, so Texas had to do the same.

The Ladies Auxiliary is now collecting “Early Bird Dues” for the fiscal year 2014 “Parade of Transmittals” at State Convention, which will be held from June 12 through the June 16. Members who have let their dues lapse and wish to reinstate or remain continuous may send their dues to Jeanette Clark, Membership Chairman, at 3705 Martin St. in Orange, Texas 77630 or Patricia Kemp, Treasurer, 4700 London Circle, Orange, Texas, 77632. Please make checks payable to LAVFW Post 2775 in the amount of $18.

If you are a cancer patient or know of anyone in the Nursing Home or very ill, please contact Jeanette at 409-883-0264. The auxiliary pays these dues with the utmost discretion.

Post members may mail their membership dues to Post Quartermaster Wilbert Duhon at 1716 37th St., Orange, Texas, 77630. Make checks payable to VFW Post 2775 in the amount of $22. Our veterans need our support and the best way we can do this is to maintain a healthy membership.
